I Owe My Success In Nigerian Music To God, Rugged Man - Mbryo

Mbryo, the Rugged Records act, launched his music career
when he debutted in Ruggedman's Ruggedy Baba remix. "I
felt really elated considering the greatness of the Original
version of the song, coupled
with the fact that both Artistes (Ruggedman and 9ice) on the
song are people ı respect so much. It was an honour to say the
least," a smiling Mbryo told PREMIUM TIMES.
After the Ruggedy Baba remix, Mbryo and Ruggedman
released a label compilation album, Money Making Music
(MMM). The pop act shared his experience working on the
album.
"It was really nice working on the collaboration album, been
my first time, I gained a lot of working experience through
the project most of which is still helping me today," he said.
Mbryo, who grew up in a church with his pastor father, plays
guitar, drums, keyboards, and also doubles as song producer
and writer, The multi-talented pop act believes his distinctive
voice and style, God's favour, and his personality would make
him a huge success in the Nigeria music industry.
The singer, however, says he is not under any pressure to
deliver a hit track.
"Well I am not under any pressure I believe in myself as
much as my boss (Ruggedman) believes in me. Time + Hard
work + Dedication + God's favour equals success," he said.
Performing a fusion of Soul RnB and Afro Pop, Mbryo has
released a few songs like 'Remote', 'Take Over', 'Don't Go',
and 'I Like Your Azonto,' all in the collaboration album; as
well as 'Money Making Music' which is available on digital
distribution network, www.spinlet.com and
www.m.iroking.com ..
The singer is currently shooting videos for his new singles,
Parole and Ragabomi (produced by D'tunes), and says he
draws inspiration from musicians like John Legend, Boyz 2
men, 2face Idibia and his boss, Ruggedman, whom he says
has been instrumental to his successes so far in the music
industry.
Born Prince Maxwell Oghenemıne Omoferı to a father, who
is a pastor, and a businesswoman mother, Mbryo is the first
boy of seven children. He holds a Diploma in Mass
Communication and believes his music would be great in the
next five years.
The artiste has worked with other acts like Yung XP,
Olamide, as well as producers such as D'tunes, Woyesound
and Mr. Vine.
Mbryo describes himself as an extreme optimist, football
lover, Gemini and an absolute believer in God.
"God inspires me. The gift of music is a gift from him to me;
hence he equips me with whatever it takes to execute it
properly," he said.
