Horrific: Man ambushed and set on fire in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command said it has commenced investigations
into the alleged ambush and murder of one Sylvester Ezema at Akpa Edem
in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state, Saturday.
The state Police Pubic Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who made
this known in Enugu, yesterday, said the command was determined to
unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder of the man.
He said the victim identified as Sylvester Ezema was at about 5.30am
Saturday "ambushed by a man later identified as one SundayUgwoke who
allegedly poured petrol on the victim and set him on fire."
According to the police spokesman, the victim was rushed by
sympathizers to Chukwudi Hospital Nsukka for medical attention but he
was later confirmed dead by the doctor.
Meanwhile, the corpse of the victim had been deposited at Bishop
Shanahan Specialist Hospital Mortuary, Nsukka for post mortem
examination.
