2014 World Cup: Nigeria draw Argentina again

Nigeria will play Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran in Group F
at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The draw for the tournament took place in Bahia, Brazil on Friday.
The Super Eagles will open their campaign against Iran on June 16 and
take on debutants Bosnia-Herzegovina five days later. Nigeria will
complete their group assignment on June 25 against Lionel Messi's
Argentina.
The African champions, who were drawn against Argentina at the
USA' 94, Korea/Japan 2002 and South Africa 2010 World Cups, lost
all three games.
Claudio Canniggia's brace helped La Albiceleste (The White and Sky
Blue) led by Diego Maradona beat the Eagles 2-1 in their Group D
match at USA '94. Samson Siasia gave Nigeria an eight-minute lead, but
Canniggia, who beat Peter Rufai to get the equaliser for the South
Americans in the 21st minute, scored the winner seven minutes later.
Gabriel Batistuta scored the only goal to help Argentina bag full
points when both countries clashed in a Group F encounter in 2002.
Gabriel Heinze's header gave the 1978 and 1986 World Cup champions
1-0 victory against Nigeria in 2010.
Meanwhile, Spain will open their defence of the World Cup with a
repeat of the 2010 final with Holland.
Three-time winners Germany are in Group G with Portugal, Ghana and USA.
Hosts Brazil open their campaign in the football showpiece on June
12 against Croatia in Group A.
The five-time winners will then play Mexico and Cameroon to decide who
reaches the knockout stages.
England are in a tough Group D. They face Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica.
Meanwhile, 1998 winners France will face Switzerland, Ecuador and
Honduras in Group E.
Belgium are in Group H with Russia, South Korea and Algeria.
In Group C, Colombia, who came second in the South American qualifying
group, will face Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan.
