President Jonathan Intervened To Secure My Release From Beninoise Gendarmes, Says Asari Dokubo

The leader of the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujahid
Dokubo-Asari, who was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic during the
week, has confirmed that President Goodluck Jonathan intervened on his
behalf to secure his release as originally reported by
SaharaReporters.
Mr. Dokubo arrived Abuja on Friday night and told reporters, and some
of his supporters that he arrest was as a result of his purported
links with Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group based in Northern
Nigeria.
Alhaji Dokubo denied reports stating that a Presidential jet was sent
to bring him back to Nigeria after his release. He further claimed
that his ordeal was in connection with his support for the re-election
bid of President Jonathan in 2015.
