Police Kill Two Suspected Armed Robbers As Others Escape With Wounds In Jigawa

The Police in Jigawa on Wednesday killed two suspected armed robbers
along the Kano-Ringim highway.
The state's Police Commissioner, Mr Theophilus Kayode, made the
announcement at a news conference in Dutse.
Kayode said that the robbers were gunned down by policemen at about 5
a.m., noting however, that two of the robbers escaped with bullet
wounds.
The commissioner said that two locally-made pistols, an AK 47 riffle
and eight live cartridges were recovered from the robbers.
According to him, other items recovered from the hoodlums include a
Honda car with registration number AG 201 KCH, a hand set and
N148,520.
Kayode pleaded with the public to help the police with relevant
information to get rid of criminals in the society.
