PDP panel recommends Oyinlola, Baraje, Jaja’s expulsion

The Peoples Democratic Party Disciplinary Committee has recommended
the expulsion of its suspended National Publicity Secretary, Prince
Olagunsoye Oyinlola; former Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Kawu
Baraje; and the former Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Sam Jaja.
The panel, which sat at Legacy House in Abuja on Wednesday, however,
recommended that the forth accused person, whose case was before it,
Amb. Ibrahim Kazaure, be suspended for another one month.
He was given up to December 10 to appear before the committee.
The Deputy Chairman of the committee, who is also a former Minister of
Transport, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, disclosed this to journalists
after the committee's siting.
He said he was speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the committee,
Dr. Umaru Dikko, and other members of the committee, who were all
present during the briefing.
Babatope said the three persons, who were recommend for expulsion,
were guilty of the accusation leveled against them.
He said, "We have examined the charges against the three of them and
they have been found guilty.
" The three persons are Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Kawu Baraje and
Sam Jaja. They have been recommended for expulsion and the report
would be tabled before the National Working Committee of the party.
"The other person, Ibrahim Kazaure, has been asked to appear before
the committee on December 10. However, he is to remain suspended till
them."
