Scholarship for teenage stowaway

While the giver might have meant well, yet one is tempted to ask, is
the scholarship given to a stowaway, 15 –year- old Daniel 0ikhena, by
De Raufs Volunteer Group not an embarrassment to a decent society?
What is the rationale behind the scholarship? Are we promoting and
rewarding criminality? Is it not going to motivate others to do evil?
What of if his action had led to a plane crash? We need to know who
trained him to hide himself there? The group may have good
intentions,but it is not good for a decent society, especially in the
current political dispensation when nation is being indicted for
corruption, criminality, Boko Haram terrorism. Our leaders need to
reward decency, innovation, creativity etc that will promote good
values system. The same country pardoned corrupt leaders this year,
offered amnesty to Boko Haram and now scholarship to a stowaway. We
need new orientation and new beginning. Let'sreward decency and good
conduct in the society.
