Missing guard found without eyes, tongue

Decomposing body of a missing security guard has been discovered under
a bridge close to the British America junction in Jos North Local
Government Area, Plateau State.
The body of the victim, 67 year-old Audu Nemu, was found on Monday
after he went missing about a week ago .
He had left his Tudun Wada home for work but never returned.
He was discovered with his tongue and two eyes missing.
His family was said to have been contacted for identification.
The deceased's brother, Mr. Augustine Rivi, said the family was
alerted about the body by those who knew that his brother was missing
and when he went there he discovered that it was that of his brother.
He said, "We heard that a corpse was discovered this morning so we
came to check because we had earlier filed a missing person report. We
identified him by the cloth he is wearing but we also noticed that his
tongue and eyes have been removed."
Plateau State Police Public Relations Office, DSP Felicia Anslem, who
confirmed the incident said the police had launched an investigation
into the incident.
"We have commenced investigation to ascertain whether it was a case of
ritual murder or sudden and natural death," she said.
