Champions League: Real Madrid,Man Utd and PSG biggest winners

The 2013/2014 UEFA Champions League season commenced on Tuesday night
with 16 teams all in action on match-day one.
It was not ironic that the defending champions,Bayern Munich got the
first goal of the day through left-back David Alaba as they went on to
defeat Russian side CSKA Moscow 3-0.
All in all, it was a goal-fest particularly in the second half when
they started coming in torrents.
A total of thirty goals were scored across the eight games, with Real
Madrid accounting for majority of the goals in their 6-1 thumping of
Galatasaray in Turkey.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the night bagging a hat-trick in the
victory, which was more remarkable because he scored all three goals
away in a hostile environment.
The goals were Ronaldo's 206th in 204 games for Real Madrid, making it
his 23rd career hat-tricks.
Other star performers for the night include: Wayne Rooney, who scored a
brace for Manchester United in their 4-2 victory over visiting Bayer
Leverkusen; Karim Benzema equally scored two goals for Madrid against
Galatasaray and Thiago Motta also scoring two goals for Paris Saint
Germain in their 4-1 victory over Olympiakos.
